Banana Nut Overnight Oats – a deliciously tasty must have breakfast recipe. Soaked overnight and a dash of nuts added in the morning, this breakfast recipe is truly filling.
I know I haven’t published any new post in a while. But that doesn’t mean that my health is on a back runner. I have been doing as best as I can to avoid junk food.
I have been successful at times, and unsuccessful at times. But I have lost a further 5 pounds since I last updated on this blog. Hopefully I will be more regular in posting here. I know I say that every single time. But then, getting 3 kids adjusted in a new country is a big task. Now that the kids are finally settling down, I can heave a sigh of relief and get back to taking care of “moi”.
This banana nut overnight oats was a truly a savior for me many a time. I am in love with overnight oats. Whether it is my previously shared Cinnamon Apple Overnight Oats or one of the many variations that I love to experiment. There is no doubt I truly and remarkably am in love with the overnight oats.
Maybe it is the sheer ease and the simplicity that makes it so appealing to me. I feel so heavy after eating it, that I do not crave for any snack till lunch time. It is filling, nutritious, healthy and yummy. Need I ask for more in a dish.
There are hundreds of ways that you could make them. And the banana nut overnight oats is just one among them.
For this banana nut overnight oats, I have simply soaked the rolled oats at night and added some banana along with almonds and walnuts. Many a time I love to add raisins as well for that extra sweetness in the overnight oats. But as the banana provided with the necessary sweetness, I didn’t think it necessary to add.
You can even add a dash of cinnamon powder to elevate it’s flavor. There is no one way of making the overnight oats. Let your imagination run wild and let me know what have you added to yours.
