My life totally revolves around the planners. I have no clue what I would do without them. They help me stay organized and stress free during the chaos that comes with being a mom of three. Having a plan in place will streamline your most important work to be done.
The most successful people are the ones that are most organized. And being a mom, planning meals, is no different. You can be a success at homemaking when you are organized. And that comes with small little plannings.
My love for planners spills over to the meal planning too. Planning out meals a week ahead not only helps me stay organized but also helps to save money.
When I look back, I now realize that my weight gain was during a time in my life when I had let go. There was no planning and no meal preps. My meals were more on a whim. As I had no meal plan, I made lot of bad choices and more of eating out.
I had gained substantial amount of weight during this period. But when I started meal planning again, I was not only able to save money but also keep track of my health.
We can make more healthy choices as we have time to think ahead. Our food decisions are not made when staring at the frozen aisles of the food section.
I can exactly plan out my meals according to the budget. Don’t we all buy stuff from the supermarket with the best of intentions that we don’t need. Once we bring them home, we have all the intention of cooking but then life gets in the way. And before you know, it is past expiry date.
That is not only waste of money but also of resources. I hate it when I waste food. That is so unacceptable to me when I know there are hundreds of people dying due to hunger every day.
As cliche as it sounds, but someone dying due to hunger is something which I can’t get my head around.
When we meal plan, we exactly know what we intend to cook the following week. We can check on the grocery items that are already available at home and that which have to be purchased. You can just buy according to the meal plan to avoid wastage and money.
In today’s world, when most of us are still reeling under tight finances, it has become more of a necessity to tighten our finances.
