So here is my weight update. I had intended to start this section long back. The draft was sitting in my folder since more than a year. But it’s better late than never.
I am so committed to becoming healthy again. Come what may, I am not going to stop this journey this time.
Though I have been seriously been working out since just couple of weeks, I still feel so strong and energetic. I am able to lot of more work that had been pending since long.
I have been following the Leslie Sansone’s Walk at Home videos a lot. They are simply the best for beginners. I remember when they were just not enough for me, and I felt that they were too less for me at one point in my life.
But now they give me a good workout and I sweat a lot from it.
The next workout that I totally, totally love is the Crunch Pilates by Ellen Barret. I tell you, it looks simple enough but challenges you enough. Though I have gathered up my stamina to finish it without a break, I do with lot of modification and without weights.
I intend to do weights when I hit 165 lbs. Till then it is cardio and strength training without weights. I still do not have enough stamina to pick any weights as of yet.
But I am so stronger than I was yesterday. When I started out, I would stop at 20 minutes, panting, cool down, stretch and was done with the workout. I am so surprised at myself to be able to finish my workouts albeit with modifications now.
Diet has been pretty good too. I count my calories on My Fitness Pal, and pretty much eat 1400 kcal regularly. I do not follow any diet and do not like to villanize any nutrient. I eat what I love but a much healthier version and in smaller portion. Check out my healthy recipes here.
So here is my update:
Starting weight: 197 lbs
Weight before starting workouts and eating healthy food seriously: 181
Current weight: 179
Total weight loss in the past 2 weeks: 2 lbs
Yay!!! I didn’t realize that I should actually celebrate the loss of 2 lbs until I am writing this..
